Terms and Conditions

The contract between the pupil and the driving school is subject to the following conditions:

The pupil certifies that a valid suitable licence is held to drive the tuition vehicle. Pupils must inform their instructor immediately if they receive any endorsements on their licence during the period they are receiving tuition. Pupil must be fit to drive with regard to legal and medical requirements.

The instructor will provide the pupil with driving tuition at the rate per lesson which has been agreed with them.

Payment for tuition may be made in advance to the instructor or at the beginning of each lesson by cash or cheque. Pre-paid lessons are non refundable if it is the pupils decision to terminate the contract. Pre-paid lessons & vouchers expire 12 months from the date of purchase.

Matters concerning the timing, duration and location of individual lessons are subject to agreement between the pupil and the instructor. All driving lessons must commence/finish on times agreed between pupil and driving instructor. If the pupil is late for his/her lesson for any reason, the time will still be chargeable. The Instructor will wait 15 minutes. In this time the Instructor will ring and text but if no reply after this time the lesson is cancelled and the fee is chargeable. If the driving instructor is late, the time will be added on at the end of the lesson or at another time suitable for the pupil.

In the event of mechanical breakdown or other difficulty outside the control of the instructor (ie dangerous weather conditions), the instructor reserves the right to rearrange lessons at short notice.

The pupil may only make lesson cancellation directly with the instructor. 48 hours notice must be given otherwise the pupil will be liable for the full tuition fee. To avoid cancellation charges, pupils will be offered the opportunity to re-book their lesson within 7 days of the cancelled lesson, subject to the instructors availability.

The instructor reserves the right to refuse the use of the driving school car for the practical driving test, if in the instructors professional opinion the pupil has not reached a sufficient standard of competence to take full responsibility for the safety of the driving school car and other road users.

The instructor will accept no responsibility for accidents, injury or damage to any third party caused by the pupil’s recklessness or negligence during a lesson.
